At only 23 years of age, the extremely self-driven Tony Lombardi built his business. It began during the global financial crisis – even an economic disaster couldn’t deter this dynamo from bringing his dreams to fruition. His eternal positivity, true professionalism and affable personality have contributed to the exponential growth of his career. In 2004, Tony commenced working in real estate. His extensive years in the field have seen him acquire four residential real estate offices, a commercial real estate office, Harcourts Rata and Co and NAI Harcourts Platinum. Tony’s extensive knowledge of construction, housing and various trades coupled with his sincere approach to his interactions with his clients is why he is such a trusted agent in Victoria.

In 2006, Tony embarked on an additional career in auctioning, calling over 6500 auctions to date. He is currently the head auctioneer for Harcourts Rata and Co (Thomastown Branch) – a position he holds with enormous pride – as well as being a shareholder in Harcourts Victoria.

The motto Tony is known for – “Hope is not a strategy; we have to plan” – is one that underpins every business dealing. He is a master at providing insight into the value of people’s existing properties, securing sales for first home buyers, helping individuals and families who are looking to upgrade, assisting those venturing into the property management sector, and more. Tony attributes much of his success to the ongoing support of his team. His long-time business partner, Alex Doucas, has played an integral part in assisting Tony to achieve his career goals. His fellow business partners Robert, Andrew, Daniel and John have also been immense sources of support, as well as the members of his highly supportive management team – Belinda & Nicole. His large sales and rentals team have also been instrumental in the growth of Tony’s real estate career.

In 2017 and 2018, Harcourts Rata & Co was awarded the number 3 franchise Australia-wide. In 2018, the awards of Number 1 Exclusive Lister for Harcourts Victoria and Number 3 Exclusive Lister for Harcourts Australia were added to his string of business achievements.

Real estate life aside, Tony is an avid footy fan. He is an enthusiastic Hawks supporter and an AFL devotee. Between 2016 and 2022, he was the president of Northside Lions Superules Football Club which is located in Crispe Park Reservoir. The club was originally an over 35’s men’s football club separated into three teams. In 2017, the Northside Lions Superules Football Club committee worked alongside the club’s governing body to create the very first women’s team in the club’s 25-year history, a development Tony found incredibly gratifying.

Other passions of Tony’s include attending the gym regularly to ensure his body and mind are kept in excellent shape and he is also a keen cyclist. He thoroughly appreciates Melbourne’s great coffee, delicious food and lovely wines. He particularly enjoys imbibing a glass of his favourite red – Château Pontet-Canet 2009. What brings Tony the most joy, however, is spending precious time with his family. A typical Sunday involves a family gathering at his Nonna’s house where he enjoys the company of his loved ones in addition to a plate of his Nonna’s homemade gnocchi and a glass of Chianti. It’s on days like this that his most special memories are formed.
